Accounts Payable, Payroll & Administrative Support Specialist (Eureka)
Location: Hilfiker Pipe Co., Inc. – Eureka, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: Based on experience, with opportunities for growth and review after the probationary period.

Hilfiker Pipe Co., Inc. is a well-established, family-owned company with deep roots in the Eureka community since 1902. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable, Payroll & Administrative Support Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Support
• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP
• Prepare, audit, and review employee timesheets
• Maintain and update employee records, deductions, and contributions in ADP
• Distribute paychecks
• Track wage increases, PTO accruals, stipends, bonuses, and garnishments
• Respond to EDD and court-ordered documentation requests
• Record long-term disability payments for W-2 purposes
Accounts Payable
• Match purchase orders to receipts and invoices
• Code invoices to appropriate GL accounts
• Enter data into ERP system and QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile credit card and employee expense reimbursements
• Set up and maintain vendor accounts
• Track W-9s and process annual 1099s
• Run weekly AP checks and perform month-end reconciliations
• Track donations and maintain year-end backup journal
Administrative Support
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal staff
• Maintain organized filing systems for payroll and AP records
• Assist HR & Accounting Manager with various projects
• Support benefit administration including enrollments, terminations, and employee changes
• Participate in research, training, and reporting tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent certification in Payroll, Bookkeeping, or Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in Payroll and Accounts Payable
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), ADP, and QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
