This fantastic and rare stove would make a great decorative piece to display in your Victorian home or it can be used to heat a small space.

C.M. Hess' Fabrikker A/S was an iron foundry and a factory that produced stoves in Vejle, Denmark. It was founded by Christian Martin Hess (1851-1929).

In 1901 he issued a competition asking architects to design stoves in three styles: empire, renaissance and "modern" or free style.

This stove features the winning renaissance style design, and a marking above the doors shows it was exclusively licensed from the architect.

It stands 65” tall, is 17” wide, and has a 5” flue pipe connection.

It was just restored, with new mica installed in the windows, and the complete stove was wire brushed and coated with stove black.

The stove breaks down into manageable pieces, the main body is the heaviest, and it probably weighs around 50 lbs.

If you plan to install it for actual use, it would need to be assembled using stove mortar.
