This dinghy splits down the centerline as you can see in the photos so that each half weighs less than 25 pounds. I did this so that I could parbuckle it to the stern quarters of my 26' Vertue sailboat. I sold the sailboat during the pandemic for a rock bottom price and didn't include the dinghy for various reasons. One reason is I hadn't completed reinforcing the lifeline stanchions that it parbuckled to. I still have all that hardware to affect a proper installation. The dinghy is based very loosely on a Phil Bolger design. It can carry two average size adults (approximately 375 lbs.) but with three adults totaling 480 lbs. it is riding low enough in the water to get some seepage past the centerline seam and wetting the butts straddling the fore and aft bench seat. It has enough stability to set crab rings and pots off the stern or to fish from. It is also quite easy to cartop and quick to assemble.
