1989 sandrail (dune buggy).

Want a sand toy without the side-by-side cost? $5500, and I am open to offers....

Just rebuilt the 1600 cc engine to a BUILT 1776 by local VW engine builder. Every surface machined, cylinder heads were cc'd (equal volume), oil cooler and external filter, 8 pin flywheel, there really is a lot going on there.

CB Performance balanced crankshaft
Performance lifters
Engle 110 camshaft
2 barrel progressive carb (have a single carb and manifold also)
Dual port cylinder heads
Balanced connecting rods
6 rib IRS bus transaxle with boxed trailing arms.

All new seals, bearings, pistons, rings, cylinders, electronic ignition, hour meter (4.6 hours since complete build), new clutch (and it's hydraulic), NEAL pedals and turning brake, LED front lights, rear LED running light, LED brake lights, cool dash and gauges, aluminum front king pin suspension, disc brakes (fronts too just not installed), and much more. Battery cut-off switch, 12 gallon fuel tank, all new fasteners, etc., etc. Fully prepped the engine case prior to machine work.

Three sets of front tires: Sand (aluminum wheels), street and desert tires (steel wheels).
Two sets of rear tires: Desert tires (steel wheels) and awesome paddles on aluminum wheels.

I'm into this for more than asking price, I just think the price is fair for what's there. It's fast and fun.

Fits in our 6x12 trailer perfectly. No, trailer does not go with it.
