Laurel Tree Charter School is seeking a one-on-one aide for a middle school student. We're especially interested in someone with experience as a behavioral aide. This ten-month, 30-hour-a-week position pays $19.00 an hour. Hours are from 8:15-3 M-Th, 8-1:30 F. This position includes paid school vacations and sick days. This is at-will employment.
Skills and duties that will be assessed as part of being a member of a teacher-run school:
*Works one-on-one with special needs students.
*Works with teaching staff to create and implement behavior plans. Collects data for behavior plans.
*Can follow the medical action plan.
*Demonstrates and models community skills in mediation, mindfulness, and restorative practices.
*Effectively and kindly handles discipline within the classroom, as well as supports teachers in collaborative discipline and opportunities for student self-reflection.
