STATUS: Non-Exempt; 40 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY
The Taproom Manager ensures smooth operation of the taproom by making sure that the taproom is appropriately staffed, that beer tenders have everything they need to successfully and efficiently complete their tasks, that the taproom environment is comfortable, that the beers are at their absolute best, and that unforeseen needs are addressed quickly. The Taproom Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the overarching goals of the company are being met and addressing areas for growth and continued success.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for managing the Taproom.
• Coordinates with warehouse staff to ensure the Taproom is always stocked.
• Responsible for interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing and resolving employee complaints and creating work schedules.
• Responsible for managing the Cash Drawers and making change orders weekly.
• Works closely with Accounting to communicate band payouts and discrepancies.
• Ensures proper cash handling for all employees.
• Responsible for Employee Tip Reporting and documentation.
• Works closely with the Marketing Manager on sales, promotions and marketing within the taproom.
• Plans and executes events/bands in the taproom.
• Responsible for updating all Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
• Serves as the direct contact for communication and assists during events (as needed).
• Maintains inventory for Taproom/Bar supplies.
• Responsible for all communication and coordination with the onsite food vendor.
• Responsible for communicating issues with the leadership team.
• Assists in strategic planning to ensure company success.
• Ability to work within the company’s means and prioritize the necessities.
• Responsible for continually building and nurturing team morale.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
1. Must be able to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
2. Must have attention to detail and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
3. Must possess a strong sense of integrity.
4. Ability to de-escalate situations.
5. Must possess excellent customer service and have a positive attitude.
6. Must have an open mind and have the ability to work with diverse groups of people.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Previous customer service experience is required.
• Responsible Beverage Server Training is required.
• Willing to obtain a food handlers certificate.
• Must be familiar with POS and Office Software
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Typical travel time is generally less than a week.
• Possess a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable by the Tribe.

BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS
