Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and personable Bartender to join our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and delivers consistently excellent service. Bartenders are responsible for crafting classic and signature cocktails, serving beer and wine, and creating a welcoming bar experience for all guests. Bartenders may be asked to perform table service in addition to tending bar.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with house/classic recipes and customer preferences
-Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to all guests seated at the bar or in the dining room
-Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area before, during, and after service
-Follow all state and local laws regarding alcohol service, including checking IDs
-Maintain accurate tabs and handle cash and card transactions with attention to detail
-Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and restocking as needed
-Communicate clearly and efficiently with servers, kitchen staff, and management
-Stay informed about daily specials, menu changes, and promotions
-Uphold all safety and sanitation standards
-Follow the restaurant’s steps of service and uphold all house rules and hospitality standards
-Other tasks as assigned by a manager
Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or full-service restaurant (preferred)
-Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
-Must be 21 years of age or older
-Valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
-Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Schedule & Compensation:
-Shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
