When the rolltop is lowered and locked with a key it also locks all of the drawers with an internal mechanism that is a very interesting design. I have all of the original drawers that came with it- 8 small ones and pen slides on the upper desk itself, and 7 larger ones on each side and in the middle. There are also 2 writing surfaces that pull out, one on each side. The desk comes apart in 2 large sections for moving. This is a fully functional and solid desk. It's 46" high, the desk surface 30" high, 48" wide, 32" deep.
This thing is heavy, even disassembled! You'll need a few folks and a truck :)
