I'm interested in hosting a Video Bible discussion group. This is not a church related group, has no leader, and is not geared for Christians (tho Christians are welcome). Video Bible International has done the book of Matthew in movie form, but unlike most productions, the script is actually the Bible, no words added or deleted (tho sound effects are present).
And the actor that portrays Jesus is untypical; a short, Italian that touches people and smiles most of the time... a bit disorienting at 1st, but amazing after awhile.
There will be no leader. We will follow a format that we agree on at the 1st meeting, this sets how much video we watch each week and how long each person has to share. We use a moderator to facilitate our time, usually a different person each week. But all opinions are equal, no 'authority' to say what it means or tell you that your opinion isn't correct.
Depending on how much video we watch, this could be 7-10 weeks long.
I have a modest but comfortable home and a 50" TV. But we could do this at someone else's home if McKinleyville isn't convenient.
Sorry, but I do not respond to texts.
