Schmidbauer Lumber, Inc. is accepting applications for entry level laborers to join our established workforce. Experience in the wood manufacturing area is an asset, but not required, as we provide on the job training at our local mill for this position. This position is trained to operate various machine centers in our manufacturing process. Applicants must be available to work all shifts, holidays and overtime as necessary to maintain production. Employment with Schmidbauer Lumber, Inc. is contingent on passing a drug/alcohol screening and physical examination.
Job Requirements:
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull by hand various weights and sizes of lumber, bark and sawdust.
• Must maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to use various hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to learn how to operate various machines in a safe and productive manner.
• Mechanical skills and abilities desired.
