I love this bike but it's time to let it go to someone who will give it the proper attention that it deserves. And by attention, I mean ride it.
I've owned this awesome TT600L for 16 years and for the most part has just sat parked in my garage, waiting to be ridden.
When I first bought it ran great, however in time it started to smoke. These bikes had an aluminum nikasil plated cylinder that was notorious for flaking off, and that's what happened here. So, I disassembled the engine completely, replaced anything questionable and some items that weren't, just because "while I'm here."
Installed a steel liner XT600 cylinder bored to 621cc, JE forged piston, rebuilt and balanced the crank using new Yamaha rod and bearings, every bearing was replaced, new oil pump and drive gear, 2 new transmission gears, new timing chain, new gaskets and seals throughout. All parts replaced were factory Yamaha.
All machine work was performed by Storme, assembled by me.
The front end is Honda XR. Forks are late '80s 600, wheel is early 2000s 250. Forks were completely disassembled, cleaned and reassembled with new fluid and seals. The rear shock is a Works Performance piece no longer produced.
Fenders and side covers are new Yamaha pieces, the tank is a new Clarke. New reproduction graphics.
The original front end, tank and plastics will go with the sale.
The seat is in perfect shape.
Missing the odometer.
Other than some scratches on the frame and a few other minor blemishes, this bike is in excellent condition. No rust or corrosion. The finish on the spokes, nipples and rims are excellent.
I don't have 50 miles on this bike since the engine rebuild. Honestly, I probably haven't put 100 miles on it since I've owned it.
The rear tire and the tire on the original front end are the tires that came on the bike 16 years ago, as well as the chain and sprockets!
This bike starts easy in 1 or 2 kicks and runs absolutetly amazing. Excellent low rpm torque and throttle response. perfect for woods riding.
Clean CA title in my name and currently green sticker registered.

Motivated to sell so have lowered the price to $1800. Firm

Located in Eureka, California.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
