You are looking at a maxed out 1970's Guyatone Custom PBass from Japan. Made by Hoshino Gakki in the mid–late 1970s, this Guyatone Pbass has been set up as a comfortable, reliable player with upgraded electronics that is easy to handle for long gigs at 8 pounds.
The original finish showed heavy wear, so the body has been taken fully into a relic aesthetic. Fully functional and recently upgraded where it matters most: Pickups: Lindy Fralin P-Bass pickups, Wiring Harness: CTS 450G Series 250K pots, Orange Drop .047uF capacitor, Switchcraft output jack, Cloth push-back wire. Hardware: Gotoh GB1 tuners and Gotoh Vintage Bridge. Bone nut. Neck is notably slim and fast compared to typical P-basses. It is very comfortable with low action and is straight as an arrow. Strung up with La Bella Rounds. Brand new Gator Transit Series Electric Bass Guitar Gig Bag - Slate Gray
Not including the labor or the relic job, the upgraded parts and case alone were $565.
Body: Japanese camphor wood, lightweight with a warm, rounded tone
Neck: One-piece maple with walnut skunk stripe
Profile: Slim C, 38mm nut width
Scale Length: 34"
Setup: Low, comfortable action around ~1.5mm
Weight: 8 Lbs
