- Commercial pool/spa experience
- Strong basic mechanical, plumbing (PVC), and electrical troubleshooting skills
Reports to: Maintenance Director
Position Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time (Schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain club i.e.: building, exercise equipment and pool / spa facilities (where applicable)
- Perform preventative maintenance on building, exercise equipment, pool & spa facilities (where applicable), etc.
- Update the maintenance log of all maintenance and preventative maintenance performed.
- Arrange for the repair or replacement of all out of order equipment following purchase order protocol.
- Perform and document building and exercise equipment safety checks monthly
- Carpentry/ Structural: Complete small construction projects, i.e., create partitions, small structures such as stairway railings, minor wood framing and drywall wall sections. Add accessories such as towel dispensers and shower curtains.
- Electrical: Service light fixtures to replace tubes or ballasts. Run wiring for outlets or data circuits. Installation of new fixtures or fans.
- Plumbing: Repair or replacement of faucets, sinks, shower faucets and heads.
- Carpet: Perform minor carpet repairs.
- Doors: Install doorknobs or hardware. Replace doors if necessary, add automatic closures.
- Painting: Paint new areas as established, touch up existing areas when needed.
- Facilities Equipment: Service HVAC units when necessary to change filter and blower belts and service saunas as needed.
- Pool & Spa (where applicable): perform daily inspections, correct adverse conditions, maintain water chemistry, maintain record logs, safely handle hazardous materials ie: Muriatic Acid, Liquid Chlorine
