Viltrakis Design Build is a design-build custom home company based in Fortuna, building custom homes throughout Humboldt County. We're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter/Foreman who's ready to run a jobsite from day one — someone who can take a crew, build a home from the ground up, and lead without needing to be walked through it.

What You'll Be Doing
Running the field side of custom home builds start to finish:
Leading a crew through concrete forming/pouring, framing, siding, window install, exterior trim, and painting — through interior trim, doors, hardware, and finish woodworking
Reading plans and keeping a build on schedule without hand-holding
Coordinating directly with subcontractors and homeowners on-site
Training, directing, and holding less experienced crew members accountable to the standard
Catching problems before they become expensive ones
What We're Looking For
10+ years of hands-on experience across most phases of custom home construction — concrete through finish work
Proven experience leading a crew, not just working on one
Comfortable being the point of contact for homeowners and subs in the field, with minimal oversight from the office
Strong plan-reading and problem-solving ability
Someone who takes ownership of a jobsite like it's their own

We're a small, owner-operated company that gets involved early in design and stays with our clients through the whole build. We're looking for a foreman who wants that same level of ownership in the field.
